New research publication from our team - 4/1/24

Learn more about our research! A new, open access article by Kristen Jakstis and Michael Barnes has been published in Global Environmental Psychology. The authors reviewed the literature and found that winter is a neglected season, especially in the area of human-nature-interactions. Winter-nature interactions are just as important to understand as other seasons' interactions.

Jakstis, K., and M.R. Barnes. 2024. Winter-human-nature interactions: A scoping review for a neglected season. Global Environmental Psychology, 2, Article e11251. https://doi.org/10.5964/gep.11251 [Open Access]

New research publication from our team - 3/28/24

Learn more about our research! A new, open access article by Michael Barnes, Ileana Campagna, Becky Haddad, and Eric Watkins has been published in Natural Sciences Education. The article describes the scarcity of managed urban landscape curricula in undergraduate programs in Minnesota, with only about 1% of courses reviewed containing these topics. The authors found there are opportunities to integrate this content into existing courses across various departments and institutions.
